In addition to our services for seniors and their families, counseling and parenting guidance, Jewish youth programs, and Jewish family life education, JFS of Greenwich also offers the following programs:

  • Programs for Interfaith Families: professionally led discussion groups exploring the special issues of interfaith relationships.
  • Refugee Resettlement/Acculturation: helping refugees from the former Soviet Union and other parts of the world become a vital contributing part of the next generation of Americans.
  • Immigration & Citizen Services: JFS is available to help any immigrant or refugee fill out and file the appropriate Immigration and Naturalization (INS) forms. Our staff will help you with the complexities, challenges, and stresses involved with the Immigration and Naturalization Service. There is a nominal fee for this service. In addition, JFS offers a two-hour citizenship class twice a year to help prepare new immigrants for their US citizenship test. There is no fee for this program.
  • Pastoral care: specially trained volunteers visit Jewish patients at Greenwich Hospital and local nursing homes.
  • Scholarship Assistance: college, camp and Israel trip scholarships offered to eligible Jewish youth.
  • Community Resource Center: information about and referrals to local and regional Jewish community resources.
  • Volunteer opportunities: a chance to make a difference by participating in one of our many rewarding programs. Special training provided when appropriate.
